2nd Conference on Innovation in Forest Mapping and Inventories
On May 19th and 20th, the second edition of the event on innovation in mapping and inventories of forest resources in Spain will be held in virtual format. After the success of the first edition in 2018 in Palencia (Spain), entities such as the Cesefor Foundation, the University of Valladolid and the Government of Castile and Leon together with the support of the Spanish Ministry for Ecological Transition have committed to celebrate a second edition in virtual format, due to the causes of the confinement by the COVID-19 pandemic, now with a more global approach.
This extraordinary crisis has highlighted the need to achieve greater and real digitalization of society and that any process of improving efficiency and optimizing resources requires better data management, especially within the forestry sector.

The conference will be attended by Iñigo Lizarralde, CEO of Föra Forest Technologies, who will represent the consortium My Sustainable Forest and will present on Wednesday 20th a seminar entitled “development of forest inventory and wood quality mapping using LiDAR and satellite technologies“, which highlights the work done in the project.
This seminar is free, but registration is mandatory. Once registered, the participants will receive an email with the link to follow the conference in a few days. The language of the conferences will be Spanish.
